The importance of reading to young children
When I was a child, my mother used to read to us. Although I learned to read at a very young age, I remember struggling with the Brothers Grimm’s storybook, The Griffin. My mother took the book and read it to me, making all the voices she thought the characters would make. It took a couple of days to finish the story, but that memory always stayed with me, and in a way, it reinforced my love for books.
